Webkinz Trading Cards feature pictures of your favorite Webkinz pets, characters from Webkinz World, items and special recipes. The first series of cards includes 80 base set cards, and three other special different types of cards for you to play games with, collect or trade! The three types of cards are:
Curio Shop Curiosities
Collect all 8 FOIL Curiosities Cards, featuring the history of some of the rare items in the Curio Shop, and what Arte, the proprietor, has to say about them.
Webkinz Doodlez
These 8 all FOIL collectible cards feature sketches by Webkinz artists, with a little information about how they come up with the characters, items and games at Webkinz World.
Challenge Cards
There are 15 Challenge Cards for you to collect and use in the Webkinz Challenge Trading Card Game. You can use the cards you have, combine your cards with the friend you’re competing against, or build your own decks.
You don’t have to have any Challenge Cards to play the online Trading Card Challenge Game in the Tournament Arena, any one can play, and it’s a good way to learn the rules of the game. The game’s designed for players age 8 and up. You’ll need 3 types of cards to play the Challenge Game:
- Base Cards—each card represents something found in Webkinz World.
- Action Cards—these red-bordered cards allow you to do special things during your turn
- Challenge Cards—each one has a name, and tells you what you need to do to complete the Challenge
To play in the Tournament Arena, you’ll get virtual cards online. To play with real cards, you’ll need at least 50 base set cards and 7 Challenge Cards. Each player gets 5 cards from the base deck, and 3 Challenge Cards are laid out so everyone can try to complete the challenges.
On your turn, you can do one of these:
- Draw one card and put it in your hand
- Discard one card, and draw two
- Use an action card, doing what the card indicates
- Attempt to complete a challenge
The Challenge Cards give instructions on how to complete the challenge. For example, one Challenge Card might tell you to discard three recipe cards. Once you’ve done that you’ve completed that challenge, and you get the prize listed on the card. Complete your fourth challenge before anyone else, and you win!
Younger children can play games with the cards, too. Rules for playing a Go Fish type of game, and other simple but fun games, can be found at the Webkinz website.
Get Feature Codes with Your Cards!
The pack of cards you buy unlocks a different pack of virtual cards online you can use to play the Challenge Game at the Tournament Arena. And every pack of Webkinz Trading Cards comes with a special feature card that could give you up to 5 Feature Codes. Feature Codes are special codes found on certain Webkinz items like bookmarks, lip gloss and purses. You enter them at the Code Shop in Webkinz World and you’ll get random prizes like food, coupons, KinzCash, rare items and exclusive items you can’t get without a Trading Card Feature Code.
The second series of cards features all new cards, two new games to play with your collection, and up to four Feature Codes per pack of cards. Collecting fun, cool new games and Feature Codes for great prizes—all great reasons to collect Webkinz Trading Cards.
